Goji Berries

Goji berries benefit from being a REAL superfood as they are an extremely nutrient-dense little fruit that can just be eaten as it is. No preparing (although soaking for a minute can swell them a little if you are really dry!) is needed and they are fabulous for little ones - my daughter just loves them.

Goji berries contain 18 amino acids (even six times higher than bee pollen) including all 8 essential amino acids - this makes them an ideal protein supplement! They contain 11.7% protein, and 328 calories per 100g!

They are similar to raisins in size and type just differ as they are deep-red. They taste sweet and something like a cross between a cranberry and a cherry? You can just eat them as they are, add them to salads, smoothies, trail mixes, tea, cakes and biscuits.

Goji berries contain up to 21 trace minerals (the main ones being zinc, iron, copper, calcium, germanium, selenium, and phosphorus) and are an incredibly rich source of carotenoids, including beta-carotene (more beta carotene than carrots).

Goji berries also contain vitamins B1, B2, B6, and vitamin E.

These little wonders are a great snacking superfood - I hardly ever find anyone that doesn't like them!
